Caleb McFerran

Caleb McFerran serves as Principal of Christ Lutheran School and Preschool in Costa Mesa, California. He has served over 5 years at Christ Lutheran nearly 15 years overall in Lutheran education. He has taught grade levels ranging from kindergarten through middle school. He has also served as an assistant principal at his previous school before accepting the call of Principal at Christ Lutheran. Principal McFerran's priorities are Faith and Character development in children, fostering strong trusting relationships, and cultivating an environment where students grow and develop as leaders.

Caleb spent the majority of his life on the windy plains of Northeastern Wyoming in a small town called Wright. He graduated from Concordia University in Irvine, California in 2005 with a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies and an emphasis is Physical Education. In 2007, he finished his Master's Degree in Educational Administration and received a Preliminary Administrative Services Credential. At the same time, he also finished his second year of BTSA (Beginning Teacher Support and Assessment) and received his California Credential Clear. Caleb current serves on the Curriculum and Assessment Task Force and Grantparent Task Force for the Pacific Southwest District.


Kristie Flohra

Director of Preschool

Kristie Flohra serves as Preschool Director at Christ Lutheran Preschool in Costa Mesa, California.  She has over 20 years of experience in Lutheran education and has taught grade levels ranging from preschool through middle school.  She also served for many years as assistant principal at her previous school before accepting the position of preschool director.  She has a passion for curriculum and a strong desire to equip students and teachers with the necessary skills to succeed!  Kristie’s undergraduate degree is from Cal State University, Fullerton, and she earned her professional clear credential and Masters in Education with an emphasis in Curriculum from Concordia University, Irvine.  Additionally, Kristie serves as a WASC Accreditation Commissioner and as the District Accreditation Commissioner for PSD Lutheran Schools. Kristie also serves on the Curriculum and Assessment Task Force for the Pacific Southwest District.
